Our Oath

Today, I stand with HER.  I commit to this new chapter, this new journey.

To HEAL, I commit to building a space rooted in sisterhood, respect, honesty, joy, growth, and connection. I will honor my experiences without letting them define my future, and give myself and others grace to grow, change, and become.

To ELEVATE, I commit to lifting as I rise. I will celebrate the women beside me without comparison or competition, communicate with integrity, handle conflict with maturity, and protect the trust placed in me. When one of us rises, HER success is our success.

To RESTORE, I commit to creating a space where women can come as they are, be seen, heard, and valued. I will protect this sisterhood through honesty, respect, integrity, and accountability. I will show up not only for the fun, but for the work of building something meaningful together.

   I will show up not only for the fun, but for the work of building something meaningful. We will be intentional, and it will reflect the women we are becoming.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I COMMIT TO HER.
We will HEAL together.
We will ELEVATE one another.
We will RESTORE what matters.
And through it all,
We will Empower HER.
I am HER.
You are HER.
Together, we are EmpowerHER.
Hi! I am Linda Tillmon, founder of Tillmon Behavioral Health Services LLC!  I was born and raised in The Bronx of New York City, started my secondary education at St. John's University in Queens where I received my Bachelor's Degree of Science in Human Services. I continued my education at Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed my Master's of Social Work from Fordham University, Lincoln Center Campus. Before starting this practice in 2021, I worked in different settings such as emergency rooms, nursing homes, outpatient mental health centers, & ran day to day operations of community mental health centers and federal qualified health centers.  I have been working in this field for 28 years. As I have been told, I am approachable & welcoming. I worked with individuals of ages 5 & up, including families, groups and couples. I utilize clinical interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Treatment, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Meaning-Centered Grief Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method for couples, & Play Therapy with children. Currently, I am a part time Clinical Director for a non profit organization, Rye Youth Council, where we have an outpatient counseling program that provides short term therapy up to 6 months for the youth of ages 5-22. I created this counseling program as there was a need for services in the Westchester County community with hopes to normalize conversations about mental health & reduce the stigma. As I speak highly about self care, I love watching movies in my spare time & listening to music of most genres. My favorite genre is Neo Soul music as it relaxes me. I love scented candles to soothe my sense of smell, love to dance & travel. Overall, using your five senses is one of the best ways to self soothe. But most importantly, my goal is to connect with you, understand you and help you with your journey to recovery. Starting in July 2026, I will have a Mental Health Counselor Intern, Elaine Dash, join the team. In the end of July, Masters of Social Work Intern, Shiloh Rivera, will join the team. New things will be offered to new and existing clients to meet their needs such as groups, so stayed tuned!
I was born and raised in the Bronx as a lifelong advocate for education, empowerment, and emotional well-being. I have a 26-year career with the NYC Department of Education in an elementary school where I am a product of my community. Beginning as a teacher and now an assistant principal for the past seven years, I am committed to fostering a school environment where both students and staff feel seen, supported, and valued. A graduate of Baruch College and Mercy College, I earned my Doctorate in Education from Russell Sage College in 2024, with a dissertation focused on the social-emotional well-being of adults in school communities. I believe deeply in creating spaces where adults can understand, manage, and honor their emotions—because when adults are supported, children thrive. Guided by the strength of my mother, a cancer warrior who modeled strength, determination, resilience, and courage, I am a testament to the power of courage and compassion. My father was also a cancer warrior. Unfortunately I lost both my parents during my doctoral journey however failing was not an option so I pushed through. I champion Black-owned businesses, lift up my family and friends, and bring joy to every room I enter—often with a new outfit and a plan for a great event. I have been married for 15 years and with my husband for 25 years. I am a mom to a thriving 23-year-old daughter. My family is my everything!! I live by the mantra that life is short—so try everything once, laugh as much as possible, and always celebrate the people around you.
