

About Linda Tillmon
I was born and raised in The Bronx of New York City, started my secondary education at St. John's University in Queens where I received my Bachelor's Degree of Science in Human Services. I continued my education at Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed my Master's of Social Work from Fordham University, Lincoln Center Campus. Before starting this practice in 2021, I worked in different settings such as emergency rooms, nursing homes, outpatient mental health centers, & ran day to day operations of community mental health centers and federal qualified health centers.
I have been working in this field for 28 years. As I have been told, I am approachable & welcoming. I worked with individuals of ages 5 & up, including families, groups and couples. I utilize clinical interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Treatment, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Meaning-Centered Grief Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method for couples, & Play Therapy with children.
